There is a part of my life that is about the sport and when given the option to do something, sports usually is my first choice. They go to almost every game and have their team gear on and sometimes face paint. They follow all the major sports and some of the not so major sports. Emotions are running high during every game and sometimes we see these fans yelling at the TV screen as if they were coaches. Their identity is sports and peers view them just that way.
Sports is their life. Which one do you consider yourself? You are commenting using your WordPress. The next type of fan is what I like to call a part-time fan. These fans really do not have a favorite team, or even like sports period. They will watch a game only if there is nothing else on that they would rather watch. They really do not care who wins or loses. Most of the time these fans do not really know much about the sport that they are watching, or know much about sports in general.
They go to the games just to hang out with their friends, or be seen by everyone that is there. Part-time fans really do not get into the games that are going on, and would rather be doing anything other than watching a game. The final type of fan that I mentioned is a die-hard fan. These are the fans that truly have a favorite team, and really care about how their team does throughout the season. You will never here a die-hard fan cheer for any team other than his or her favorite. They will be the ones that you will see on television with their chests painted in weather that you cannot even imagine being outside in, much less with your shirt off.
They truly feed off how their team does throughout the season, if the team is having a good year then these people will rarely ever be unhappy, but if the team is having a bad year then you do not want to cross paths with them.
They will know everything that there is to know about their team, not necessarily in history, but definitely since they have been fans. I talked to one of my friends back home who has actually been an Atlanta Braves for his entire life, and I asked him how he became a Braves fan?
He told me that he became a fan of the Braves because his dad and his grandfather were both fans of the Braves. That also shows that with many of these fans, they cheer for their specific team because that is whom they were brought up cheering for.
Have you ever been to a professional and just sat there and watched the fans. I do it a lot I like to watch people and see how they react in their surroundings. You look around the sports complexes and see all different types of fans.
Ill start off with the bandwagon fans. These are the types of fans that almost everyone likes. I would have to say that most girls are classified as one of these. The girls I am mostly talking about are pretty much girls like me. I have no particular sports team I am just absolutely crazy about.
My boyfriend is happy about that! He says that I could still be converted into whatever sports team he likes. I think the bandwagon fans are very open minded about whichever team they like. Which in some cases that is a very good thing. There are some bad things, as well, in being a bandwagon fan. Whenever a person asks you which team you favor you would say the teams name that you like the best. That could be a situation for embarrassment on your part. After your answer they could give you this horrible look and just leave you feeling really dumb!
The almost dedicated fan can sometimes be annoying. The only time they are the biggest fans ever is when their team wins. If their team loses they could just care less and just go on through the day like nothing happened.
That could be annoying to the people that are big fans that are around them. Sometimes, I think, that you just need to be a dedicated fan all the time than not being one at all.
